How to Cook Beef Stroganoff

Cooking time – 1hr


1kg lean mince or tenderised steak (beef)
1 onion
250g mushrooms
2 tbsp flour
150ml beef stock
150ml fresh sour cream
1 1/2 tbsp tomato puree
Salt & pepper
chopped parsley


Fry beef strips until golden brown. Remove from pan and place into separate dish.

Fry onions and mushrooms and soft. Sprinkle flour on top and stir in stock. Remove from the heat.

Stir in the cream, tomato puree, salt & pepper.

Pour into casserole dish and cover with tin foil.

Place in the oven at 160 degrees celsius for 1 hour.
